Using our experience obtained from providing comprehensive correctional substance abuse treatment programs, Gateway recently developed a treatment model specifically designed to address the needs of offenders convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and illicit substances, or driving while intoxicated (DWI).
Gateway Foundation is an experienced provider of assessment and intervention services for individuals arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Through our outpatient treatment centers, Gateway provides baseline assessments for individuals referred by the court due to DWI/DUI arrests. In addition to the assessment function, Gateway also provides certified and/or licensed interventions for this population. Gateway Foundation—Texas is a state-licensed provider of the DWI Intervention Program, an extensive course designed for repeat offenders. In Missouri, Gateway currently provides services that are deemed “comparable” to the state’s Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program (SATOP).
